Burial Costs
Our combined fees for lairs and interment are very close to Moray Council charges although the split of these fees differs. The Hinterland Trust is a registered charity and the monies for the lair and interment fees goes towards grave digging, coordination and the long-term care and maintenance of the whole green burial area and surrounding land and is there to directly help with the conservation and land management of the Hinterland.

Any Funeral Directors fees are also an additional cost and are charged directly to the client.
Cost for cremated remains being interred in the Eileen Caddy Memorial Wood are £248, which also includes a small tree.
Note: For people who might be finding it difficult to pay the costs of a funeral please consider applying for the funeral support payment offered by the Scottish Government.
