Engage with the Land

Work parties are a great way to learn more about the Findhorn Hinterland while caring for it. By participating in a work party you will deepen your knowledge of local ecology, pick up some land stewardship skills, develop friendships and a sense of local community as well as getting outside for a bit of exercise in a fun way. There will always be meaningful tasks for everyone no matter what your personal fitness or ability might be.

Join us every month, 9.30 am to 12 noon on the last Saturday of the month.  We meet at the Hinterland Information Point in Wilkies Wood – that’s the blue dot marked “I” on the Click here to see an enlarged version of the map.

Tools and gloves are provided, if you have your own bring them along.

Every Thursday at 2 pm from the 1st of March to the 31st of October there’s a Guided Tour of the Hinterland. It includes the woods, grasslands, turbines, ponds, lichen beds, shelter, green burial, dunes etc.

Guide the Process

The Trustees meet from 3-5pm the first Tuesday of the month in the Family House at The Park. (See map) Observers are always welcome to attend especially the open public session at the beginning of these meetings and we are open to new trustees joining – please get in touch by email at [email protected] to discuss this possibility further.
